Projects
Helping Students Help ThemselvesStudents need a ready source of guidance, encouragement, and ideas for all kinds of situations, and a place to turn for advice. A publication of self-help lists for students by students will be produced. The publications will address their concerns, problems, issues, feelings, experiences, relationships, body, future goals (careers), decision making, hopes, problems, and dreams.

Summer Institute Update
Prompt: Beyond the project, how will your PBL Summer Institute experience impact your classroom during the 2009-2010 academic year?
The way this experience will impact our classroom is through self awareness and positive image. We have come to realize that students have many circumstances in their lives and they need others to talk to and converse. What better way to get to know yourself and understand that you are not alone then to talk to others about what is going on in their lives. The PBL Summer experience has brought the group together so that we are exchanging ideas and realizing that we have situations and students that can benefit from by our sharing. We also realize what we can learn from each other and connect our students in a way that we never imaged possible. We were colleagues during the process but now we realize that we are more than that. We are a family unit.
